Mission Statement

The mission of Eat Local DeKalb is to build a healthy community by connecting consumers with neighborhood food sources.  When you support local family farms in and around DeKalb County, Illinois, you are supporting the regional economy and encouraging sustainable farm practices. 

Our work at Eat Local DeKalb is volunteered-based, and we rely on donations to help fund outreach efforts.  The farm map has been made possible due to a generous grant from ESRI's conservation grant program.
